Orientation Welcome to the
orientation for the Career Advancement Accounts at the Marine and Family
Services Building 13150, located off of Vandergrift on 14th street (the same
street as the JRC) on the main side of Camp Pendleton. This is the first
orientation but it will not be the last orientation. An orientation will be held each Friday at the Marine &
Family Services building at 9:00 a.m. and the first Friday of every month at
the San Onofre side of base in building 520512 at 1:30 p.m. As always,
walk-ins are welcome!! Please visit the website www.milspouse.org to gain
further information on what is required to qualify for an account. In your interest, the orientation will be a
one-stop-shop where you will receive necessary information, verify eligibility,
and be able to set up an account the same day. If more time is required to identify a school or program, or
collect required documentation please do not worry, an appointment can be set
for you to meet with the eligibility specialist at a later date. In an attempt
to make the process as smooth as possible please bring the list of required
items to the orientation. All educational programs accepted by the CAA
initiative should be in the following fields (again, www.milspouse.org will
provide more detailed information): Education Human
Resource Business
Administration Technology Health
Care Homeland
Security Trade
and Industry Finance Hospitality
If you are eligible and are not sure which program is right for you, please do not hesitate to utilize our services. You may contact the education department at (760) 725-6660 for education advising, Discover Testing, school recommendations, or interest inventories. If you have questions and you require more information regarding careers and Discover testing, please contact the FMEAP office at (760) 725-4737.
Again, if you need more time to gather the documents
required do not worry, you have time; an appointment can be arranged at a later
date. In the meantime, hold on to the CAA application, have your school
